Curtis Jackson Stans unite.
50 Cent's entrance into the rap game foreshadowed the entirety of his career. After lyrically robbing nearly every rapper in the game with his breakout "How To Rob," the Queens rapper managed to draw the ire of his competitors before dropping a proper debut album. With a few murderous mixtapes under his belt, 50 managed to catch the ear of Eminem, who inked Curtis Jackson to multi-album deal that would change everything. Before long, Get Rich Or Die Tryin' was climbing up the charts and solidifying itself as an instant classic (and one of my personal favorite hip-hop albums of all time).
Since then, 50 Cent has established himself as a force to be reckoned with, with five studio albums, myriad business ventures, a television series, and more beefs than you could ever have imagined. Although, after bumping "How To Rob," it's really no surprise. In fact, the list of rappers 50 has beefed with is probably far longer than the list of rappers he hasn't beefed with: Ja Rule, Irv Gotti, the entirety of Murda Inc, Fat Joe, Jadakiss, Rick Ross, The Game, Young Buck (et tu, Curtis?), Diddy, Lil Wayne, DJ Khaled, Kanye West, Cam'Ron, French Montana, and surely more.
Still, despite his notoriety, fans have been entertained by Curtis Jackson's antics for well over a decade. Plus, it doesn't hurt that during his prime, he was working with some of the best producers in the world, and dropping some seriously dope music. Pretty much every hip-hop fan can name at least five 50 Cent singles, and you'd be hard pressed to find someone in their mid-twenties who doesn't consider Get Rich a classic.
So you're a fan. Otherwise, you wouldn't be here. But being a fan is one thing. This quiz is for the Stans out there, who really think they know 50. You won't find any "how many times did 50 Cent get shot" nonsense here.
Try your luck, and sound off below. What's your favorite 50 Cent moment, be it musical or otherwise?
