Don Q can't lie in more ways than one. He starts the song with a straightforward statement: "when I die, fuck it, I wanna go to hell/Cause I'm a piece of shit, it ain't hard to fuckin' tell." Don explains the condition of being a "piece of shit" as inevitable, that it's "the way of life" and that "the hood is full of choices, n***a, pick your poison." By the time we get to the chorus it's clear that Don Q is loving "the way of life" even if he didn't choose it. He goes from being a piece of shit to the shit. As A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie belts it in the chorus: "I can't lie/I'm that guy."
No more beefin' with niggas, we sendin' price tags (price)
Twenty thousand on your head, that's a light tag (nothin')
Niggas in my circle ain't think I was good enough (good)
I leaped over ever hurdle they was puttin' up
Do your research and look me up, it's real coke in front of you
Rip the plastic and get your gas mask before you cook me up
