This marks quite a shift in the power of streaming. Earlier this week, it was reported that A Boogie wit da Hoodie had officially dethroned 21 Savage to reach the top spot on the Billboard 200, which is a major accomplishment for the Highbridge rapper. Hoodie SZN has been a successful project for A Boogie and he's rolling into the new year with tons of momentum on his side. Unfortunately, some people are trying to take away his achievement by pointing out that with his No. 1 album, he's also earned the record of the lowest-selling album to ever reach the top spot on the Billboard 200.

These days, streaming determines much of your sales numbers with physical copies making up a small portion of the percentages. The ratio is actually quite meager. A Boogie's new project has been making waves on streaming platforms with his 6ix9ine collab gaining listeners in recent days but his physical sales have been poor for Hoodie SZN. According to Complex, the rapper only sold 823 physical copies of the album, marking a new record-low for the top spot in Billboard history. The New York artist commented on people that have been trying to pry away his accomplishment, saying, "It sound like they trying to discredit me. I'ma keep it a buck. But at the same time it's like, I don't give a fuck because I just went brazy."

Serious congratulations are in order for A Boogie, despite the record-low sales. This is the first time he has ever hit the No. 1 position in his career and we assume he plans to spend more time there in the future.
