Things looked grim for 50 Cent momentarily, with him seeming to break from his usually unfazed persona before declaring he wouldn’t be managing his social media profiles personally any more. However, the Queens rapper and entrepreneur has bounced back quickly. TV Network A&E inked a deal with 50 Cent to host and executive produce a variety show called “50 Cent Presents.”

According to Hollywood Reporter, the show will combine sketches, stand-up, reality experiments, music, magic, dance and celebrity guest appearances. Curtis Jackson will be the anchor for all of these performance, as A&E will lean on him to identify and bring in talented individuals. “50 Cent is the perfect parter to refresh this classic format,” said A&E’s head of programming Frontain Bryant. “He is a true tastemaker across industries and we are excited to see his impressive showcase of talent.”

The variety show format dates back to the beginning of television’s ubiquity. It’s a different direction for 50 Cent, who also acts in and executive produces the Starz show “Power.” No word on when the show will air, but it probably won’t be ready until 2017 at the earliest.
