Adidas announces their two newest signees.
Highly touted NBA Draft prospects Trae Young and Lonnie Walker IV have officially signed on with Adidas, joining the likes of NBA stars James Harden, Damian Lillard, John Wall, Kristaps Porzingis and Donovan Mitchell.
"After seasons of holding down highlight reels, Trae and Lonnie are both heralded for their elite skillset and creativity on-court. Their path to the NBA started with loyalty to family and community and further solidified by their character, passion and dedication to the game."
"Trae and Lonnie will play an instrumental role in driving performance insights, in addition to creating deeper connections within basketball communities across the globe. They will also be featured in upcoming brand campaigns and activations."
After Puma Basketball unexpectedly signed two of the top NBA Draft prospects, DeAndre Ayton and Marvin Bagley III, as well as potential lottery pick Zhaire Smith, it was only a matter of time before Adidas made a splash.
Young, a sharpshooter from Oklahoma, became the first player in NCAA history to lead the nation in both points (27.4) and assists (8.7) per game. Walker IV also made a name for himself during his freshman year at Miami as an explosive scorer with dominating feats of athleticism.
