Apollo Brown and Planet Asia walk the desolate streets in "The Aura" video.

As far as we know, Planet Asia has been in the rap game for damn near two decades if not longer. Apollo Brown is one of the tightest producers as well so there's no doubt when you get the two of them in the same studio, they will come out with some fire. Back in 2014, they dropped a little collaboration EP Abrasions: Stitched Up. It left it's mark with many who thought the project was dope. Later this month, on August 25th, they are slated to drop a collaborative full-length project Anchovies via Mello Music Group. While they've been dropping singles, today they just released the first visual offering off of the project for "The Aura."

Apollo Brown drops some grainy instrumentals for Planet Asia who kicks some seriously vivid bars. Brown's production on the track has a feeling of walking alone at night and the visuals maintain that same feeling. Both Brown and Planet Asia are seen posted in various places with a dark sky as their back drop. While Apollo Brown's sound is distinguished by it's minimalism, the video matches up. The use of their set helps define the sound and ultimately builds an atmosphere to the record.

The video for "The Aura" was directed by Diego Cruz, who has also worked with Don Q and Gucci Mane in the past. The matching between the director and the two artist was perfect. Cruz did a fantastic job bringing the song to life and representing it in a way that highlights both Apollo's production as well as Planet Asia's bars.

For anyone who hasn't dove into their EP Abrasions: Stitched Up should definitely go listen to that immediately. Atleast in the mean while to hold them over until Anchovies drops. Basing it off of the video, it's looking like a promising project.
