A's fan accepts apology from Yankees fans after beer-throwing bleacher behavior.
John Spencer, the Oakland A's fan who had a beer thrown on him during the Yankees' 7-2 victory at Yankee Stadium on Wednesday night, has forgiven the men responsible for the impromptu bleacher bath.
Video of the incident, posted to Instagram by the man who threw the beer, went viral almost immediately after the Yanks' Wild Card win. Spencer, an Oakland native now living in Brooklyn, was quickly identified as the victim and received support from the A's, who have since invited him to a game next season and have said that they'll be sending a care package.
Spencer not only accepted an apology from the Yankees fans responsible for the beer shower, but also went out partying with them in Brooklyn and even got revenge by dumping a beer on their heads, as seen in the posts embedded below.
