Beast Coast's Escape From New York is arriving in a few days, but the stacked collective have decided to sate fans with another new single. Following the blistering tandem of "Left Hand" and "Coast/Clear," the Beast Coast have come through with their most melodic vibe to date. In "Snow In The Stadium," produced by none other than Erick Arc Elliott, the spirit of Reggae is captured in both cadence and energy. With contributions from Joey Badass, Issa Gold, Kirk Knight, CJ Fly, and an adventurous Meechy Darko, "Snow In The Stadium" might prove a challenging listen for those unaccustomed to the soulful vibes of reggae.
Yet for those willing to take the plunge, "Snow" marks a noteworthy effort from the increasingly versatile New York squadron. It's certainly interesting to examine the vast differences between each single; it's almost as if Escape From New York will be an experimentation in arrangement, in which no shortage of stylistic risks are taken and ably handled. What do you think of this one? Keep an eye out for that new Beast Coast joint, arriving this Friday, May 24th.
I get high off life but they won't let me be
Been on my side, I show no deputy
Free and up all night, ripping Hennessy
Please pass my light, the weed will set you free
Puff puff then fly, move like a refugee
My gun, my knife, the bare necessities
