Beyoncé shared a message regarding the police killing of George Floyd, in which she reminded protestors and activists to "remain aligned and focused" in their fight for justice.
Beyoncé has chimed in once more on the police killing of George Floyd, this time with a message about how to properly fight for justice. As folks across the country and around the world continue to protest police brutality and racial injustice in the wake of George's murder, many have come forward to criticize the manner in which some have chosen to express their outrage. Some expressed their disapproval for looting and violence, while others pointed out that the focus should be on the injustice and not how some are choosing to fight against it. On Wednesday (June 3rd), Beyoncé posted a photo of a massive crowd of protestors gathered in Minneapolis as they marched for George Floyd, and included a message about seeking justice.
"The world came together for George Floyd,” she wrote. "We know there is a long road ahead. Let’s remain aligned and focused in our call for real justice.” Beyoncé shared this message shortly after the three former officers involved in George Floyd's death had officially been charged with aiding and abetting second degree murder and manslaughter. Former officer Derek Chauvin's charge for third degree murder was also raised to second degree murder.

Earlier this week, in the midst of these ongoing protests, Beyoncé posted a video in which she expressed the collective need to get justice for George and all victims of this fatal police brutality. "No more senseless killings of human beings," she said. "There have been too many times that we've seen these violent killings with no consequences." She then encouraged her followers to sign the petitions in her bio seeking justice for George.
