The West and The South collide.
While CyHi The Prynce, along with a throng of artists and executives, descend upon Los Angeles for the BET Experience this weekend to celebrate the 2018 BET Awards, the Atlanta emcee decided to make a stop in the lab with none other than Dr Dre.
Visual proof arrives as a snapshot was taken of the two musicians together with CyHi writing, “Not sick but I’m with THE Doc,” in a caption accompanying the picture. He’d follow it up with a few appropriate hashtags.
Naturally, the comments section was overflowing with speculation on just what the two men had up their sleeves, mainly pushing optimistic reports with one user writing, “Anything that comes out this will be dope.”
Another fan would conclude, “The culture needs this.”
There is no clear indication as to what exactly could be going on here but CyHi’s slot on the G.O.O.D. Music roster presents a solid reason to believe that something could be coming soon. Last November marked the arrival of his debut No Dope On Sundays album, peaking at no. 65 on the Billboard 200 chart. While he hasn’t been announced as one of the artist on the schedule of releases for G.O.O.D. Music’s “surgical summer” of back-to-back releases, that doesn’t mean that CyHi can’t link up with another legendary producer from across the way to appease the masses.
As for Dre, the super producer and mogul recently announced plans to put together a Marvin Gaye biopic, but those movements have reportedly come to a halt for the time being as Gaye’s son revealed that Dr. Dre doesn’t have the proper rights to do so.
