Ester Dean has always been a great songwriting match for Rihanna, co-writing hits like "Rude Boy," "What's My Name," "You Da One," "Where Have You Been," and many more. The two have reunited on the newest release from the soundtrack to "Home", an animated film Rih will be contributing her voice to.
The record settles into the pocket of a groove just a bit shy of what's pulling on the radio right now, but the tempo shift is well-executed, allowing Rihanna's vocals to breathe amongst the chugging synth production. It's a perfect holdover until we're finally given her long awaited R8 project.
Can see the night skies in the mirror of your eyes
If you gon' dance
Make sure you've got the rhythm
Make sure that your heart beats with the rhythm
