Buju Banton was finally released from prison earlier this month after serving nine years. DJ Khaled was undoubtedly one of the many people in the hip-hop community to celebrate the reggae star's freedom. With Buju out of prison and Khaled working on his next album, Father Of Asahd, the DJ flew out to Jamaica to lock in some studio time with the reggae legend.

DJ Khaled flew out to Jamaica with Asahd to catch some vibes for his next album. Khaled's visit to Jamaica was mainly prompted by Buju Banton's release from prison. Khaled's always shown Buju Banton love and is often heard bumping his tunes on his Snapchat. The two of them have also been friends for quite some time. Khaled also revealed that he called Buju to pray with him and Nicole Tuck while she was in labor with Asahd.

"I never told anyone this story the day Mama Asahd was giving birth to our son @asahdkhaled, I got on the phone with @bujuofficial and told him I play all your music to my son while he was in Mama Asahd belly," he wrote. "I was in tears on the phone wit him and I ask buju to pray with us while Mama Asahd and GOD was delivering @asahdkhaled to us and world."

Khaled also shared several pictures of himself with Buju Banton in the studio. Peep some more footage from DJ Khaled's trip to Jamaica below.
