Time to get acquainted with Sheck Wes.

The truth is if you haven’t yet heard of Sheck Wes, you will soon enough. Breaking out with his “Live Sheck Wes, Die Sheck Wes” and “Mo Bamba” singles, he’s managed to catch major looks, eventually inking a recent deal with Travis Scott’s Cactus Jack Records. You’ll quickly find that the Senegal-born, Harlem-bred rapper has adapted a fun way at hopping on a track, switching up the flow whenever he sees fit—a method he says that today’s atmosphere makes plenty of room for.

“Music is so different because technology is different,” he said while talking to Mass Appeal back in January. “Beats now? Super crazy. That’s why people don’t really got to rap on these shits no more. People could just ad-lib a whole track. People could just play around on them shits, or literally be repetitive the whole shit.”

In tandem with the announcement of his new deal, Sheck also dropped off the music video for his “Mo Bamba” track, a clip as rambunctious and unpredictable as the cut itself. Check it out above.
