The "Aubrey & The Three Migos Tour" broke hip hop records, grossing over $100 million.
One of the most talked about tours of 2018 was the "Aubrey & The Three Migos Tour" with Drake and the Atlanta rap trio Migos. From August until November, the tour consisted of 43 U.S. shows and it's estimated to have grossed over $100 million. Those numbers make it the first hip hop tour to ever reach that mark in music history.
Canceled show dates gave naysayers negative fuel to throw on their fire, but in the end, the artists pulled off floating Ferrari-filled shows that featuring guests artists and a 48 song setlist that made fans go wild. Drake brought friends like Trey Songz, Big Freedia, Meek Mill, Lil Wayne, Post Malone, and YG to the stage while Migos featured Cardi B, Tyga, Gucci Mane, and Lil Yatchy.
Many of the stops on the tour featured two show dates, but there were a select few that had longer runs including Los Angeles (seven), New York (seven), Houston (three), and Atlanta (three). According to Box Office Tours, the "Aubrey & The Three Migos Tour" sold nearly 865,000 tickets, bringing in on average $4 million per city and $1.9 million per show. The success wasn't a surprise considering that Drake and Migos nabbed spots on Forbes' "Cash King List" with $47 million and $24.5 million in earnings, respectively.
