The newly-freed man created one of Drake's favorite albums.
Kodak Black made his comeback with his studio album entitled Dying To Live. The project is the artist's first release since serving time in prison and was crafted with mindful focus. Kodak's dedication seems to have paid off with the satisfaction of his fans as well as an endorsement from Drake.
Black shared screenshots of his text message exchange with Drake, whose contact is saved under an owl emoji. The first upload shows Drake qualifying the album as "amazing," a compliment Kodak received with gratitude. He captioned the second screenshot with a compliment for Drizzy: "@champagnepapi Down To Earth Thank You ðð¿ #Dying To Live Out Now On All Platforms"
The screengrab captured Drake lifting up his fellow rapper with admiration saying, "Bro your album really one of my favorites in the last 5 years. The bars you are rapping about friends and your purpose is so pure"
He continues, shifting his praise to an inquiry, essentially asking Black to enlighten him in terms of accessing the kind of vulnerability that allows for such unabashed honesty: "What got you there? Like you are almost talking from this god level birds eye view of your own life. I wanna know how you broke that wall."
