Drake's "In My Feelings" helps him tie Usher for most weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 for a solo male act.
In August 2017, Billboard revealed that it was the first time since 2009 that Drake didn't have a song charting on the Hot 100. Clearly, that seemed to spark something in him that made him create nothing but the most infectious hits for Scorpion. Drake has officially held the top position of the Billboard Hot 100 for over half of 2018 and his latest feat makes him tie Usher for the most amount of weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 for a solo male act.
Drake has now clocked in 47 total weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100, tying Usher for the most total weeks spent at the apex at the chart. Drake's reached this point with six number one singles while Usher had nine. The accomplishment comes after Drake's "In My Feelings" spent its eighth week at the top of the chart, further solidifying that it is undoubtedly the song of 2018.
While Drake and Usher are currently tied for most overall weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100, Usher is currently one week ahead of Drake for the most amount of weeks at #1 in a year. Usher clocked 28 weeks in 2004 while Drake's currently at his 27th week. At the rate he's been on this year, it's almost a guarantee that he'll end up passing Usher for both most amount of weeks at #1 in a year and most total weeks at the apex of the Billboard Hot 100.
