Drake is just warming up for what he's about to do in 2018. The rapper kicked off the year with a massive single, "God's Plan" and then dropped his latest single, "Nice For What" that ended up knocking the former off the top of the Billboard Hot 100. Shortly after, the rapper revealed his new album, Scorpion which is slated to drop this June. Despite the fact that it's been less than a few hours since the announcement, it looks like his album is already certified to receive a plaque upon its release.

Chartdata reports that Drake's upcoming album, Scorpion, will be eligible for gold certification upon its release. The streaming game has enabled artists to reach commercial success incredibly quickly. Cardi B's Invasion Of Privacy hit gold within the first twenty four hours of its release, thanks to the success of "Bodak Yellow." Drake's "God's Plan" and "Nice For What" are already doing some major numbers and if both end up included on the album, he'll hit gold even quicker than Cardi.

It's a big day for Drake, overall. The rapper's latest single, "Nice For What" helped him make history on the Billboard Hot 100 as the first artist to ever replace their number one single with another song that debuted at the top. Drake season is upon us and whatever he has in store on Scorpion will hopefully live up to the hype.
