Future channels the energy of a lightning storm in the new "Wicked" video.
Though EVOL, released in early February, was his third No. 1 album in less than a year, it also marked the beginning of a relatively slow period for Future. Beginning in late 2014, he set out on one of the more enviable tears in modern rap history. In fact, upon the release of EVOL, it became clear that he had overfed the streets, as his record-breaking Purple Reign mixtape had dropped just a few weeks earlier. He needed to go on a brief hiatus -- keeping his buzz afloat by guesting on projects like Views and Coloring Book but also letting his absence be felt across the game, allowing fans to gear up for a summer full of surprises.
Before Future teams with Jay Z on a Khaled-hosted record that's sure to "fuck da summer up," he has shared the video to his best tune of the year -- indeed, one of THE waviest songs of the year: "Wicked." The track was a standout on Purple Reign and appeared on the streaming version of EVOL. It became his latest single in April, and it still has life going into the summer, especially with this new video.
The new video takes place on a dancefloor situated in the middle of a lightning storm. Future and Esco bust particularly savvy dance moves, and asses jiggle like they've been electrocuted. Weeyo, weeyo, weeyo, weeeee.
