Topless photos of the "Game of Thrones" actress, taken during a recent trip to Japan, were stolen from one of her private social media accounts.
It seems celebrities these days have no freedom when it comes to sharing private photos. Maisie Williams, who plays Arya on the HBO series "Game of Thrones," is the latest actress to have sensitive photos leaked. Topless pictures of the British actress have made their rounds online this week, and a rep for Williams has now confirmed that the photos are indeed genuine and also stolen, as they were leaked without consent from a private social media account, reports Page Six.
The images in question were taken while Williams was on a trip to Japan, where she was protesting the hunting and capturing of dolphins for entertainment purposes. “The images online were shared from Maisie’s personal social media account. The images are not explicit in nature, but pictures of Maisie and close friends at a spa at a recent visit in Japan,” said the rep.
Making her "Game of Thrones" debut when she was 14 years old, Williams is now 19. Of course, that doesn't make it OK to peep the photos; to do so would very much be a flagrant breach of privacy. That won't stop the Internet freaks, though. For a more consensual look at Williams, catch a few glimpses of the next season of "Thrones" via HBO's new promo video for its 2017 lineup.
Season 7 of "Thrones" is set to begin mid-2017.
