The only reason Gunna's drip hasn't completely eroded the scene, is because he still accepts dookie handouts. Like Anderson .Paak came to reflect upon seeing his amateurish material resurface, Gunna is better off being mindful of what gets out. One day Gunna will regret going to town with every rapper in Georgia. Then again there's no way of knowing when this verse was recorded, and whether Gunna gave it an afterthought upon receiving payment for his verse.
In the end, Da Wrapper acquits himself rather well next to rapper of Gunna's stature, and to be fair the harshest criticism I reserve for "My Drippin" is that it's virtually unrecognizable if you only look with one eye-opened. Gunna's holiday drip settles in like a paperweight, but doesn't elevate the song to new heights. Whereas his best material expresses an unbridled spirit he shares with his QC mates, hunger gravely missing on "My Drippin."
Check out "My Drippin" and give it an honest score.
