The hype for Hobbs & Shaw, the new spinoff in the Fast & Furious franchise has refused to die down. Whether it was the inclusion of A-level cast members like WWE Superstar Roman Reigns, or image stills depicting plenty of onscreen chaos, anything the F&F team has done to date has paid dividends. So without further ado, the official cinematic trailer for the Hobbs & Shaw spinoff is here to prove the hype real.

As you can see, the trailer gives us a clear indication of the players involved. For starters, The Rock and Jason Statham play the odd couple stereotype to perfection as members of law enforcement who relish in adrenaline. The "bad guy," if that expression still bears any meaning, is played by an in-form Idris Elba.

So, even though the film is billed in the "buddy cop" genre, with Elba forcing a triple crown arrangement, due to his inclusion. No one in their right mind would argue against Idris Elba ability to enact overwhelming anxiety in a villainous role. Jason Statham is a little more seething. The Rock is.. well the big ticket draw - every actor in a well-defined role not unlike the precedent they'd all set earlier in their careers. And that doesn't even account for the magic of post-production. Hobbs & Shaw is set to come out on July 26, 2019.
