James Blake is far from a rapper but you can't deny his contributions to some of the best albums to come out of hip hop over the past few years. He's worked alongside Kendrick Lamar on several occasions and was even an opening act on the U.K. leg of the DAMN. tour. He assisted Jay-Z on 4:44 on "ManyFacedGod." Today, he drops off his latest solo track, "Don't Miss It."
James Blake debuted his new track, "Don't Miss It" earlier today during his BBC Radio 1 residency. "Don't Miss It" follows the release of January's "If The Car Beside Your Moves Ahead." The singer collaborated with Mount Kimbie's Dominic Maker for the track.
He might not have dropped a whole lot of solo music this year, he's done a few collaborations with some major names. Most recently, he linked up with Andre 3000 for his 17-minute Mother's Day offering, "Look Ma No Hands." He also linked up with Jay Rock, Kendrick Lamar and Future on "King's Dead."
If I give everything I'll lose everything
Everything is about me
I am the most important thing
And you really haven't thought all those cyclical thoughts for a while
