Woodstock 50 about to be lit.
The winter is coming to a close (thank God) and festival season is approaching. Over the past few months, major festivals have been unveiling their line-ups and getting people excited for the summer. One of the most exciting festival this year is Woodstock which will be returning for its 50th anniversary. There have been rumors about who will be performing but today, they unveil the entire line-up.
Woodstock 50 is blending a bit of everything for music lovers across the board. Jay-Z has been confirmed as a headliner on the final day of the festival. Chance The Rapper will also be performing the day before HOV as well as Chance's brother Taylor Bennett. The line-up includes a heavy amount of hip-hop artists as well. Earl Sweatshirt and Vince Staples will both be taking the stage. Additionally, Woodstock 50 will include performances from Common, Run The Jewels, Akon, Princess Nokia, SiR, Halsey, Janelle Monae and more.
“It’ll be an eclectic bill,” festival organizer Michael Land told Rolling Stone earlier this year. “It’ll be hip-hop and rock and some pop and some of the legacy bands from the original festival … I want it to be multi-generational. Woodstock ’94 was a nice mix of young and old and that’s kind of what we’re going for here.”
The festival will take place from August 16-18 in Watkins Glen, New York. Peep the full line-up below.
