Jay-Z continues to garner celebrity acclaim.
Jay-Z is getting some props from a very unlikely source: former White House intern extraordinaire Monica Lewinsky.
The TV personality and activist is praising Jay for his "vulnerability" in his lyrics throughout 4:44, an album where he addresses plenty of personal issues including alleged marital infidelity on his part. She penned an article for Vanity Fair that not only showed appreciation for Jay-Z, but other male celebrities that have become more candid about personal struggles as of late, such as Brad Pitt.
"He chose a path of candor that will – like Brad’s and Prince Harry’s – move the conversation forward and help others," Lewinsky writes. "It is a refreshing and bracing antidote to see male icons convey vulnerability in an age when Washington’s new power elite and our coarsening culture are busy projecting an outmoded caricature of manhood, 24/7."
