Jahlil Beats has been behind some big records over the last couple years, including Boogie's "Oh My," Meek Mill's "Monster," and Bobby Shmurda's "Hot Nigga" (Uncle Murda's "We Wuu Wuuu" also still goes). Today, he's laced Jinsu with another instrumental, which -- like most of his best work -- bangs as hard as anything else out, but does so with an unconventional sample.
Jinsu meets it with some nimble rhymes, riding the dynamic blasts of the beat's loop with a measured flow and some memorable punchlines ("Only L I face is the shit that I'm smokin'"). His upcoming mixtape, also titled Still I Rise, is out September 24th.
My phone roamin'
In the studio, stonin'
Only L I face is the shit that I'm smokin'
They know I go hard
Nothing less when I coast the rhythm
And quick to approach a nigga
Even if his folks is with him
