Joe Budden reportedly secures a massive bag in new Revolt deal.
UPDATE: Joe appears to have dispelled the rumor on his podcast today, though speculation of his next business move continues.
Who'd have thought Joe Budden would have become one of the biggest names in hip-hop media? Today, reports have surfaced that the former Everyday Struggle host has found a new destination - Diddy's Revolt network, which hosts Drink Champs, The Breakfast Club, The Gate, and more. The news comes directly on the heels of Budden's year end recap with Charlamagne Tha God, "This Year Was Dope/Trash," which premiered via Revolt. The Source reports that Budden's new deal is worth $5 million dollars, and while details are still coming in, it seems likely that Joe will be delivering another podcast.
It stands to reason that his new endeavor will differ from his current "Joe Budden Podcast," and it should be exciting to see what the future holds for Joey. Even after all the ups and downs, Joe has ultimately been winning this year, on both a personal and professional level; not only is he making money moves, but he recently celebrated the birth of his newborn son, Lexington. Despite the fact that he found himself embroiled in a minor feud with one of hip-hop's biggest groups, Migos, Budden has actually emerged from the "beef" stronger than ever before. While the year has brought us many entertaining narratives, the Phoenix-like rise of Joe Budden is among the best.
Congratulations to Joe Budden on his deal, and we'll be sure to keep you updated as more details roll out. There's no word on whether or not Joe plans on reaching out to former hosts Akademiks and Nadeska Alexis, but it wouldn't be surprising to hear them address Joe's new deal on Everyday Struggle.
