The media mogul was called a "senior citizen" for his troubles.
Few can deny that Joe Budden has provided the game with plenty of entertainment throughout his meteoric rise to media stardom. Say what you will about the once-renowned lyricist, but Joe's recent grind has been respectable to say the least; in a mere two years, the man has hosted Everyday Struggle, his own eponymous podcast, Revolt's State Of The Culture, and now, he has returned to his old stomping grounds.
Unfortunately, said stomping grounds are not "the booth." Quite the opposite, in fact, perhaps even on a polar level. Last night, Budden returned to VH1's Love & Hip-Hop: New York, which currently stars his wife Cyn Santana, the mother of his child Lexington. The couple were at the centerpiece of the premiere's most memorable moment, in which Cyn and Joe found themselves in the middle of a lover's quarrel. Sadly, the difference in opinion stemmed from Joe's reticence to deliver the bedroom goods, as the man was simply too tired. Even Santana's seduction efforts proved futile, as Budden's iron will and waning libido proved too powerful for her wiles.
Though Budden does allow himself time for a quick "motorboat," his face ultimately falls upon learning of a pre-booked hotel room in the city. Sadly, Cyn seems determined to break the "dry spell," so much so that their discussion eventually explodes into a full-fledged argument. "Jesus Mary and Joseph," mutters Joe, during Santana's increasingly frustrated rant. Sometimes, invoking the powers that be are all you can really do.
Watch Budden's ill-fated return to Love And Hip-Hop below, and let us hope that his rest he sought indeed came easy.
