After seeing him turn up in the HNHH studio alongside QC labelmate Skippa da Flippa, it was already known that Jose Guapo has a fire inside him that separates him from much of his Atlanta competition. More proof is provided by his new single, "Off Top," produced by the duo of Nard & B, who have been dropping off the hits this year, with standouts like Future's "Under the Mattress" and Fetty & Trouble's "Anyway / Everyday."
The trunk-rattling production on "Off Top" sets the stage for Guapo's simple but effective flow. He easily keeps his tempo in sync with the heavy bass and sleek hi-hats, and though the energy is highly turnt-up for the whole song, stick around for the second verse to hear him really snap.
"Off Top" will appear on Guapo's upcoming mixtape Extravagant Trench Shit, which is expected to include more bangers from Nard & B. The tape is fittingly set to arrive on 4/20.
