North West inspired the glow-in-the-dark Yeezy 350.
In case you haven’t been keeping up, Kanye West most recently unveiled plans to launch a glow-in-the-dark edition of the Yeezy 350 silhouette, and it looks like we’re all indebted to North West for the decision.
It was on Thursday that Kim Kardashian stepped onto Twitter to deliver on a brief story time that details the origins of the newest pair of 350s. According to Kim it was when she lied and told North that her Yeezys would glow in the dark if she put them on that ‘Ye decided to make it a reality.
"Fun Fact- I was bribing North to wear her butter 350’s by saying they glow in the dark. However, she made me turn off the lights to test it," the reality star and cosmetics mogul tweeted out. "She caught me lying but Kanye was on speaker phone & said don’t worry I will make them."
News of the latest Yeezys arrives in conjunction with Kanye West’s recent apology for his controversial slavery comments. It was while visiting at Chicago radio station WGCI on Wednesday (August 29th) that the rapper tried to clear the air.
“I want to take this moment right now to say I'm sorry for the one-two effect of the MAGA hat into the slave comment. I'm sorry to people who felt let down by that moment," Kanye said.
"And also I appreciate you guys giving me the opportunity to talk to you about the way I was thinking and what I was going through," he added. "I just appreciate you guys holding on to me as a family. And one thing I got from the TMZ comment—I learned how much Black people love me."
