Having earned their hip-hop merit badge with an appearance on Kendrick Lamar's DAMN, U2 has continued to resonate with all walks of life. Boasting no shortage of timeless anthems, the Irish band has recently offered up their classic single "Beautiful Day" as part of a YouTube tribute to the graduating class of 2020. Following an introduction by none other than Bono, a variety of artists lend their talents to a Finneas-produced cover of the multi-Grammy-award winning track, including Khalid, Camila Cabello, Leon Bridges, and more.
Given the number of talented vocalists involved, it's no wonder that the harmonies are on point throughout. Amidst the stacked collective of pop-friendly contributors, however, Khalid continues to standout. His dulcet tones are a worthy successor to Bono, leaving fans wondering when his next-full length project is set to arrive. Yet that's not to say he's carrying the track; more often than not, all parties work together to bring out some beautiful harmonic layers. Check it out for yourself below, though given it's a YouTube-organized cover session, you likely know what to expect. Doesn't make it any less easy on the ears, though.
