Fans didn't get a full-length studio release from Kid Ink in 2017; instead, they were treated some some strong singles, remixes and feature work. With that said, we're undoubtedly going to hear more from the rapper this year, and he's certainly whetting the appetites of his fans nicely this week, dropping the catchy new single "Tell Somebody."
With a tropical percussion sound competing with the typical hip-hop claps and high-hat sounds, Kind Ink's production was handled by Dez Wright, who may have helped the rapper construct a single that has some major crossover potential. Much like Chris Brown, Kid Ink has never found himself confined to one lane instrumentally, opting instead to play the field in prolific fashion.
Similar to "Unforgettable," which helped solidify the mainstream appeal of French Montana and Rae Sremmurd's Swae Lee, "Tell Somebody" could have the very same effect on a man like Kid Ink, who could be poised for big success with this track.
