Last time we heard from Lashaun Ellis, the West Coast rapper hit us with a track called "Who Got It" back in April. Today, he returns with one called "30 Thousand."
Produced by Toronto's Prezident Jeff, the song has a swirling, trippy vibe to it, and despite being described as "low-fi" in a press release, is actually mixed and mastered quite well. Ellis croons about having "30 thousand bitches" on him, approaching the song unhurriedly and with considerable layers of auto-tune coating his vocals. Although he doesn't end up saying much on this one, he rides the beat well and ends up with a catchy track.
Hundreds all in my hands
She know I'm dropping the bands
I tell her to drop it, she bring it back up
And pop it on me like damn
