Leon Bridges made his mark on the scene in 2015 with his debut album Coming Home and the single of the same name. He's previously stated that he never intended to make such smooth soulful sounds, but his connection to the vintage Golden Era of gospel music just can't be tamed.
Though he's been off the radar for a minute, today he comes through with a new single, "Bad Bad News." The song boasts some triumph as he sings ever so smoothly about turning negative comments into a good thing.
"They tell me I was born to lose / But I made a good good thing out of bad bad news," he sings.
Leon also dropped another song today titled, "Bet Ain't Worth the Hand."
Listen and tell us what you think.
Ain’t got no riches, ain’t got no money that runs long
But I got a heart that’s strong and a love that’s tall
Ain’t got no name, ain’t got no fancy education
But I can see right through, a powdered face on a painted fool
