The actors reunite with Quentin Tarantino.
Leonardo DiCaprio took to Instagram to showcase the first image of him and Brad Pitt in the upcoming star-studded drama Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. In the photo, the two actors are decked out in 1960s garb, emanating staunch vintage vibes and a throwback feel.
DiCaprio will assume the role of Rick Dalton, a former TV star, whist Pitt will portray Cliff Booth, the former's longtime stunt double and close friend, as they struggle to gain notoriety in Hollywood. Quentin Tarantino notes how the forthcoming motion picture takes place in "Los Angeles in 1969, at the height of hippie Hollywood."
Joining the two charismatic leads is Al Pacino, who plays Dalton's agent, with Margot Robbie assuming the role of Sharon Tate. Burt Reynolds, Timothy Olyphant, Damian Lewis, Luke Perry, Emile Hirsch, Dakota Fanning, Clifton Collins, Keith Jefferson, and Nicholas Hammond will join the ensemble cast.
Tarantino previously worked with DiCaprio on Django Unchained, and has utilized Pitt's performative acumen for Inglorious Basterds. The film is slated to be released in theatres on August 9, 2019.
