Lil Peep and XXXTENTACION's "Falling Down" has moved 500K equivalent units.
ILoveMakonnen teased a collaboration between Lil Peep and XXXTENTACION earlier this year. Makonnen said that he co-wrote the song and revealed that the late XXXTENTACION would also be featured on the song. The song ultimately surfaced in mid-September and has been buzzing in anticipation for Peep's posthumous follow-up to 2017's Come Over When You're Sober Pt. 1. Ahead of the project's release, Lil Peep and XXXTENTACION's "Falling Down" has reached gold status.
The posthumous collaboration between XXXTENTACION and Lil Peep, "Falling Down" has officially been certified gold after moving over 500K equivalent album units. This marks the first gold certification that Lil Peep has received for any of the music he's released. The song will not be featured on Peep's forthcoming project, Come Over When You're Sober Pt. 2 which drops on Friday.
Peep's team has been dishing out several singles over the past few months in anticipation for his forthcoming project. While "Falling Down" with X and the ILoveMakonnen-assisted, "Sunlight On Your Skin" were released in September, they won't be included on the tracklist. However, since late October, his team released his singles, "Cry Alone," "Runaway," and yesterday's release, "Life Is Beautiful."
Aside from his new album, it was recently announced that Peep's life story would be explored in an upcoming documentary by Terrence Malick. It's unsure when it'll be released, but we'll keep you posted.
