The rapper looked happy and he danced to his unreleased track.
What retirement? Lil Uzi Vert continues to tease fans who are still hoping that the rapper will jump back in the game, feet first, and release a new album. Two months ago Lil Uzi Vert, real name Symere Woods, stunned fans when he announced that he was done with the music industry for good. He initially stated that he "deleted everything" that he'd been working on, but either that wasn't a true statement or the 24-year-old is planning a comeback with new music.
Just this evening, the Philly rapper hopped on Instagram Live and played an unreleased track for his fans. Lil Uzi Vert's adoring public blew up the comment section, but the rapper wrote back, "This is old as ish."
Lil Uzi Vert previously explained his departure from music and the alleged deletion of Eternal Atake saying, “Y’all talking about drop something. I’m trying to drop something. I dropped ‘New Patek.' That s**t ain’t getting leaked. I’ve been tryna drop something new. Bro, this is my life now. All I can do is make music and sit back and wait for y’all response and make visions to this s**t."
"You think I don’t wanna drop music?," he continued. "You just gotta understand when people don’t love you...And that go for the streets too. You ain’t supposed to sign no muthf**kin’ paper in the streets because that’s rattin'. How the f**k I even sign this s**t as a deal. Muthaf**ka set myself up. What other way I was suppose to let this s**t go? S**t, it be all good at first just like them muthaf**kin’ rats. Mutahf**ka be right out of jail.”
