$UICIDEBOY$ have returned with a new release on SoundCloud. "Meet Mr. Niceguy" finds them bringing the harmonies of 00s Fueled By Ramen mall punk to the heavy 808s of Southern rap, something that's become more common with the ascendance of acts like the late Lil Peep, or more conservatively, Juice WRLD. While it's becoming more and more common, it continues to widen the generation gap of rap fans, but there's no mistaking that $UICIDEBOY$ have garnered a large, loyal, young fanbase. They've also earned the respect of OGs like Juicy J, who they have produced for on many occasions. The respect between the two acts is mutual, as much of the instrumental work on the $UICIDEBOY$ material owes a lot to the early days of Three 6 Mafia.
The song comes in advance of the new project from the duo, I WANT TO DIE IN NEW ORLEANS, which is set for release on September 7th. Listen below.
Suicide been on my mind
Pour my heart on the concrete every fucking time
Each time you left
Feels like you died
Depressed and I don’t wanna go on any longer
Delusions keep me going
Illusions keep me hoping
Parachute woven from broken down
Men - are from Mars
But there’s nothing but cold
Grow up all alone
