Following a less than stellar NBA debut, Lonzo Ball went absolutely nuts in his follow-up match against the Phoenix Suns, taking hold of a double-double in a 132-130 victory for the Los Angeles Lakers. With a record of 29 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists, Ball was only one assist away from being the youngest NBA player to date to get a triple-double, and wasting no time after such an incredible performance, the controversial Lonzo decided to drop off his latest “Super Saiyan” single to double down on his message.
“Triple B's, I'm the man. I'm leveled up, I'm Super Saiyan.” he unleashes. “You said I can't, but I can. Triple B's got the plan. I had to stunt on my haters, I had to show 'em who's boss. I had to flex on my haters, diamonds they drippin' in sauce."
It was on Thurday that the Lakers suffered a loss of 108-92 to the Clippers with Ball putting up a mere 3 points, but that bounce back was surely something special when he took to the hardwood Friday night.
"The last game I shot six shots," he said in a post-game interview following the win. "That didn't work out so well. Figured I'd try something else."
"Today I just had to do what I had to do to get the win,” he went on to add. “I had to shoot a few more shots. It doesn't take me long to learn," Ball said. "It was my first time. Everybody is going to criticize me regardless of what I do, but the more I play, the more comfortable I get."
Next up, the Lakers will take on the New Orleans Pelicans, who come into the matchup with a lackluster record of 0-2, compared to the Lakers’ now strengthened 1-1.
Until then, lend you ear to Zo's latest "Super Saiyan."
