Singer Marc E. Bassy just released a project at the end of 2015, but he’s already back with another smooth cut. No word on when this one was recorded.
The track features the honeyed vocals of Bassy over a rumbling bass melody and some unique synth work. Simple 808s give the song some snap for the LA-based artist to spit some melodic rhymes over. Marc E. Bassy sings about navigating the fast life, “drinking forty water / bands in my pockets.”
The artwork features a tag that says “Bassy Music Thurs,” so perhaps we can expect more Thursday drops from him in the coming weeks.
All black, all black all black / she got all black on
Woke up feeling freaky / called me to her condominium
stepped out on the balcony / she told me she was cooking good
cigarettes and coffee / it’s breakfast in East Hollywood
