In the Fall of 2018, hip hop heads worldwide were excited to receive Masta Ace and Marco Polo's A Breukelen Story. The nostalgic old school, b-boys in the streets, lyric-driven tracks were a refreshing break from the trap beats that storm our current culture's radio waves. Continuing on with their collaboration, the two offer up another fire single titled "E.A.T." featuring Evidence and produced by DJ Premier. “I been hearing for YEARS, ‘When are you and DJ Premier gonna do a song?'” Ace said. “It’s finally happening.”
Last November, Ace, who is a legend in the rap game, caught up with Weekly Rap Gods and shared his opinion on whether the advancement of technology has helped or hindered hip hop. "Honestly, it’s both," Ace said. "The digital age has made it much easier for people to put out music without any help from a major. But that’s a double-edged sword because now there’s no gatekeepers weeding through the garage to find the jewels. That means much more unpolished music is being put out and it ultimately lowers the talent bar because it’s like ANYBODY can make a song now."
Stupid motherf**kers saying that they like cable
My mic cable never tangles
It's a view to a kill from some better angles
My conscience speaks nonsense
