On Mother's Day, Mozzy returned with a beautiful new single in dedication to his grandma titled, "Legal Guardian/Guardian Angel." If you've been following Mozzy, you know that his grandma had a big influence on his music. The rapper hops over a soulful instrumental while praising his grandma for holding him down during hard times but more importantly, raising him to be the man that he is today. "I had plans of moving you to Atlanta/ 'Member when you kicked me out for that hammer, I never left though," he raps. "'Member I was broke in the spirit, you brung me back though/ I ain't have no momma and poppa, but you was that tho," he continues.
Mozzy's getting ready for the release of his upcoming project, Internal Affairs. The rapper's released a few singles off of the project including his two diss tracks towards Philthy Rich, "Chill Phillipe" and "Killdrummy." He also released his "Winning" with Lil Poppa last week as well as "Free Yatta Pt. 2." "Legal Guardian/Guardian Angel" won't appear on the project.
Right off 4th, that's where she raised us
Said you gotta be a man before a gangsta
Disappointed in my apprehension for that bangin'
120 days, on top of that violation
Look out for my people, I feel like I'm obligated
'Cause that's all you really did and I'm tryna return the favor
9 to 5 timeline, watch you puttin' in that labor
I love you my legal guardian slash guardian angel
