Since he emerged with "Big Timin'" in 2015, Nef The Pharaoh has been one of the Bay Area's most consistent voices, and his new full length The Big Chang Theory, may be his most accomplished work to date. The album finds Nef speaking out against police brutality on "Victim" and reflecting on his life's new trajectory as a father on "That Was God," but one of the album's best moments is also one of its simplest. "Huh" is a high BPM collaboration with "Yakki" that tastefully riffs on Juvenile's hit of the same name. Both Nef and Yakki slither through the bouncing synth beat with effortless flows and flashy boasts: "It could be 30 below and I'd still rock my ice." It's a thrilling display of style and technique, and would also sound great in the car.
I just put cameras at my spot
So I can see you comin'
Nowadays I don't got no friends
I'm talkin' to the money
I was trappin' out them houses
I ain't have no option
And I got everything here for sale
Like I'm at an auction
