Netflix's "Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich" now has a proper trailer ahead of its May release.
The trailer for the new Netflix docuseries Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich has finally arrived.
According to Netflix, the four-part series, "...exposes a horrifying story of relentless manipulation and sex trafficking. Epstein’s survivors serve as the series’ pre-eminent voices, providing powerful testimonials about their experiences, and inspiration in their resilience." The project, which was announced to be in production before Epstein’s death in August 2019, will provide a deeper look into the sex trafficking investigation.
The trailer depicts Epstein as a shadowy figure with immense wealth, and unravels the child sex trafficking ring that had been operating on Epstein’s private island, nicknamed ‘Pedophile Island.’ Referred to as “one of the worst failures in criminal justice history,” the trailer also shows exclusive details of the Epstein trial, including information on the plea deal he received in 2008 to avoid the life sentence, that will be featured in the docuseries.
The highly anticipated series is set to debut on Netflix on May 27th. It is based on the 2016 book Filthy Rich: The Billionaire’s Sex Scandal - The Shocking True Story of Jeffrey Epstein, co-written by James Patterson, who is also the executive producer of the project. Lisa Bryant serves as the project’s director.
