Juice WRLD's "Lucid Dream" producer Nick Mira breaks down the song's instrumental.
Juice WRLD has been making serious waves since the beginning of the year. While he built a pretty major following through his underground efforts, over the past few weeks, he's been getting noticed by some major players in the game. His song, "Lucid Dreams" has been getting some heavy recognition in the game. We recently linked up with the song's producer, Nick Mira, to see how he created the beat.
Nick Mira is our latest guest on Behind The Beat where he broke down the production behind Juice WRLD's massive single, "Lucid Dreams." He revealed that he was introduced to JuiceWRLD through one of his friends that he produces with. They ended up reaching out through Twitter and ultimately formed a great collaborative relationship.
If you're a hip hop head, the sample on "Lucid Dreams" might be familiar. It was a prominent sample on Nas' "The Message." However, Mira explains that he actually found the original sample in a song from a movie which prompted him to immediately flip it into a beat.
"I was watching a movie, Leon The Professional. It was the outro song, I heard it and I thought it was crazy. I had to flip it into my own beat," he says.
