"Officer Karen" speaks on the now-viral video of her crying over a delay for her McMuffin at McDonald's.
There are serious issues with the world right now. There is a pandemic affecting us all. However, that's the least of our worries. Systemic oppression has been affecting far more lives than the coronavirus and, across the nation, people are standing up against anti-Black racism. The Black Lives Matter movement has been re-bolstered into the spotlight yet, for some reason, Officer Karen thought that it was worth crying over having to wait for her Egg McMuffin at McDonald's.
Yesterday, we reported on the story. A woman named Stacy Talbert, affectionately known as Officer Karen, recorded herself after having to wait several minutes to get her Egg McMuffin from a McDonald's restaurant. After being asked to pull to the side of the drive-thru, which is a normal process at McD's if your order is taking longer than usual, Officer Karen began having an absolute meltdown, citing her anxiety over how she was being treated and noting how she doesn't know how much more of this she can take.
Seriously... this woman is allowed to carry a gun around...
Well, she has since come through with a statement on the video, trying to convince us that the point of her video was lost in translation.
"Everybody lost the whole point of the video," she said. "I'm just so sick of people being mean."
Imagine how it feels being a Black person in America and being scared to leave the house... Your kind is "being mean" to people of color every single day, ma'am.

The McDonald's in question has made a statement of their own, claiming that the employees did not single her out or treat her any differently than anybody else.
"We are happy to report that the officer was never denied service and also shared positive feedback on the employee with whom she interacted," said the restaurant owners.
