Season 6 takes the ladies to a new territory.
After releasing a teaser for season 6 of the hit series Orange Is The New Black, Netflix has finally delivered a full trailer for the show. The last season of OITNB ended with a cliffhanger. The ladies of Litchfield were involved in a riot that destroyed their home for the first five seasons, and now they must deal with the consequences of their actions. In the new trailer for the series, Piper and her friends must maneuver the new surroundings of a max security prison. Piper tries to understand why only she and her friends were transferred to the max while dealing with a new set of rules. It appears that gangs are separated by clothing (the khaki jumpsuits are beefing with the navy jumpsuits), and law enforcement is attempting to place the blame for the riot on one of the inmates. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the official synopsis of season 6 is as follows:
"Picking up one week after the emergency response team stormed Litchfield Penitentiary, the ladies of Litch have been torn apart, literally and figuratively, as they enter a new facility. Now newbies they must navigate new rules and power dynamics, starting at the bottom, and getting hazed by inmates and tortured by guards. Friendships will be tested and new allegiances formed — some by choice and others by circumstance — as the women face a slew of charges from the riot. Will they take plea deals and turn on each other or band together and keep their bonds intact?" Check out the new trailer below and get ready to binge OITNB season 6 when it drops on July 27.
