Beyonce and Jay-Z have been criticized by PETA for their respective custom-shoe designs which are made from nine different animals.
PETA, known for theirÂ controversial marketing techniques and speaking out against celebrities, have found new targets inÂ super coupleÂ Jay-Z and Beyonce. The twoÂ were scolded by PETA for their custom-made kicks that utilizeÂ nine different animals. The couple each got a pair done by PMK Customs.
Hov's model, called theÂ "Brooklyn Zoo Jordan I," is made of alligator, stingray, python, ostrich, crocodile, lizard, elephant, boa, and calf. Bey's design,Â "King Bey Isabel Marant Sneaker Wedge" usesÂ ostrich, calf, anaconda, crocodile, and stingray.
PETA released the statement, "These custom-made kicks come with a high price â and itâs paid by the various animals who were beaten and skinned alive or cruelly farmed and killed."
