There always seems to be another New York rapper billed as the "next big thing," but Remy Banks is an emcee who really fits the description. The Queens spitter is currently on tour with Earl Sweatshirt and Vince Staples, and if he plays his cards right, he'll likely have a similar career arc to his tourmates.
Remy's new track, "n1go," is built of a hypnotic synth line, tied together with a boom bap stomp. The rapper dips and ducks through the beat with a hardened swagger that nods to New York without yelling it out. The rapper's debut mixtape, Higher, is on its way, and will feature production from Ratking's Sporting Life, Odd Future's Left Brain, Erick Arc Elliott, and some other like minded producers. Look out for it May 18th.
You know me, I be in the club
Standing on couches, puffin' on ounces
We brought our own liquor in this bitch
Pass me the Henny
