Rex Life Raj has been having himself a pretty big year in 2017, working with the likes of Russ, P-Lo & G-Eazy to name a few, and thankfully he doesn’t look to be slowing up anytime soon either. Following last month’s video for “Radio,” the rising Berkely rapper decides to come through today and share a new song called “IDFWYN,” which he has been promoting on his twitter the past couple days.
Going in over the slow tempo, Kyle Betty produced beat, Rex delivers a laid back cut that finds him flowing effortlessly about not fuckin’ with fakes, and keeping it real at all times. “I Don't Fuck With You Niggas” takes on a similar concept as Big Sean’s hit record, but it’s nowhere near as energetic or boisterous, instead its quite the opposite really and hella cool and calm.
“Being in the music industry exposes you to a lot of fake shit." he said. "People who'll befriend you only in hopes of using you or getting something out of you. Rappers acting like something they're not, trying to be famous. Lots of leeches. This is song is to all those people. Real recognize real and you don't look familiar!”
It’s unclear at the moment on where this record will end up, but hopefully there’s more to follow or better yet a project for that matter. Take a listen and let us know what you think.
In other related news, Rexx Life Raj is scheduled to take the stage at next month's star-studded Rolling Loud Festival in San Francisco. He’ll be joining the likes of Lil Uzi Vert, Young Thug, Lil Wayne, Travis Scott, Schoolboy Q, Kodak Black, 21 Savage, XXXTentacion, Currensy, and many more.
