It's hard to believe that Soulja Boy is only 26 and even harder to fathom that Chief Keef is 21. Each rapper bust onto the scene during his teenage years in similar sensational fashion, though Soulja came to fame about five years before Keef did. Soulja Boy, recently signed to Rich Gang, is working on his next album, Real Soulja 4 Life, and he got Keef to feature on its new single, "I'm Up Now." The brash duo previously collaborated on the 2012 track (and video), "Foreign Cars" -- certainly worth revisiting.
The track is uplifting as the title would suggest. Both artists get freely melodic with their flows, especially Soulja Boy, who sings on the simple but powerful hook. The heavy auto-tune doesn't lessen the real emotion being poured into the track -- quite the opposite. Keef namedrops both Young Jeezy and Yung Joc in his extensive verse.
Real Soulja 4 Life is set to drop November 18.
I'm riding with this big ass Draco right now
No Young Jeezy, bitch bite down
I got a logo made and got it iced out
I got that bitch wet, bring the rice out
